SLC DINE O' ROUND

It is almost time for the Dine O' Round again! September 17 - October 2, 2010

Patrons are able to choose from a three-course dinner priced at either $15 or $30 per person. Most restaurants also offer a special two item lunch for $5 or $10. Downtown Dine O' Round is an ideal way to explore new restaurants or revisit old favorites with over 40 restaurants participating in this annual event. There are no coupons, no punch cards, and no strings attached. Just ask your server for the Dine O' Round special and enjoy!
I love Settebello and Biaggi's. I was also excited to see that Flemmings and Ruth's Chris are participating for $30 a person.

Britax Marathon & Little Lamb Swing - Target Deals

Today through Saturday (or while supplies last) there are some great deals at Target for 2 of my very favorite baby/kid items.

The first is the Britax Marathon car seat is only $159.99 (retails for $269.99) and the Britax Roundabout is $100 (retails for $159.99). The reason they are selling these so cheap is Britax has completely revamped all of their car seats and over the next while you will be seeing a lot of stores closing out the old seats. If you are debating between the 2 seats I recommend the Marathon! It is more roomy and taller for your children and will last up to 65 lbs. I have seen a lot of kids outgrow the roundabout in height after not being in it for very long. THIS DEAL IS ONLY IN STORES AND WILL GO FAST! People online in the East Coast are already reporting that it was a mad house at their Target. The Roundabout only comes in the cow print or Kathryn pattern. The Marathon will be whatever they have. You can also try to price match at Babies R' Us and there is a 15% off coupon right now that you might be able to add on top of it. Has to be the same pattern, though. I would do this as a last resort if your Target is out.

The second item I loved with my son is the Fisher Price Cradle Swing. Unlike other swings you can put your baby in this swing from the very start because they are not sitting upright. And babies love to swing side to side. The Fisher Price My Little Lamb cradle n' swing is on sale this week at Target for $119 (regularly $149.99). I don't see it cheaper online (once you pay shipping) so this is a great deal!

CITY DEALS!

City Deals has been around quite awhile but they have really made some great strides lately! They are an awesome deal site that is mostly for Utah (although they do have National deals if you put in your city you will see them). I am amazed at how many deals they offer and just how good they are.

Some of the deals I saw while poking around this morning are:

Real Tickets to the Sept. 15th Real vs. Toronto FC game. Lower bowl tickets with a souvenir bag or DVD for $11.95. The tickets alone are normally $30.

$20 Great Harvest gift certificate for $10

$20 Chuck E. Cheese for $10.

$50 Spa/Salon gift certificates for $25

And much more! Especially tons and tons of restaurants.

The cool thing about City Deals and some of these other sites is that you can refer your friends to sign up and if they buy a deal you get a $10 credit to use on their site! So...click HERE to get a deal and then tell your friends.

Favorite Deal Sites

You may have noticed a lot of these daily deals sites popping up (especially in Utah). Groupon is a National One but in Utah we have some more. I have linked the sites I follow on the top right sidebar on my blog for you to have quick access to them. If I ever see one I think you would all be particularly interested in I will do a post on it.

$50 Hapari Gift Certificate for only $20!

Today Groupon has a $50 Hapari gift certificate for only $20! You can use it in store (in American Fork) or online beginning August 30th but it doesn't expire until March so you can wait too. Their tankinis are so cute and fit well too. This offer is good through tomorrow. It is a "side deal" so when you pull up the site it will be on the side. Click here to get the deal.

Wabi Sabi 50% off

There is a new Japanese Restaurant in South Jordan, Utah located in the Daybreak Neighborhood in SoDa Row that is getting great reviews! Wabi Sabi! Right now you can get a $20 gift certificate for only $10 on City Deals. Click here.

Kohl's $5 coupon

Kohl's will give you a free $5 coupon to be used on any purchase if you sign up for their emails. The coupon is emailed within a few days of signing up. I had fun seeing what I could find for $5 and there were plenty of options for my son and baby on the way. Click here to sign up.

DROP SIDE CRIB BAN

The sale of  Drop Side cribs will mostly likely be banned by the end of 2010 and most companies (as far as I understand) have issued recalls on their drop side cribs as a precaution. If you own one check online to see if there has been a recall on your crib. I thought that mine had not but it was about 2 months ago and I did not know it. A lot of companies have not had death or injury but are sending kits to disable your drop side just incase. This will not cost the consumer anything. You typically enter your model number on the company's website and information and they will send you a kit.

GAP GIVE AND GET GIVE 30% OFF

Gap is doing their Give and Get Give promotion where you get 30% off everything. I do not know if you can use your Groupon certificate with this deal so if you want to try I would for sure call the store first! Click here to print off your coupon to take to the store. You can use this coupon at Banana and Old Navy as well. Runs August 26-29th.

Shade Clothing closing

The word is pretty much out by now but Shade Clothing is going out of business and closing their stores and website. Everything must go. If you are pregnant (like me) I love their Shade Maternity cap sleeve tees. So comfortable as they are actually made to fit a pregnant belly if you know what I mean. They are $10.

Aeropostale 30% off

Aeropostale is having a Friends and Family sale through 8/15. Click here to access the coupon or use FFAUG online.

Half off Cowabunga Bay passes

THANKSGIVING POINT & THIS IS THE PLACE

For the entire month of August you can go to Thanksgiving Point for $2 a person on Tuesdays. It is quite crowded but you can get into the Farm, Gardens or Dinosaur Museum.

And for August you can go to the This is the Place Heritage State Park for only $2 on Wednesdays through September 1st. They are open 9-5. It is normally $9 for adults and $7 for children so this is a great deal.

DRY ERASE CRAYONS

Ingenius! Crayola has just come out with Dry Erase Crayons.  I am looking forward to using these with my son on some of his wipe off learning books instead of markers. Why didn't they come up with these sooner. I saw a Target ad had them for $2 but I don't know how long they will be that price. If you got the Target back to school magazine/ad there is an $1 off coupon in there.  Crayola has them for $5 on their website.

Fast Kart Speedway - 50% off today

Click here to purchase a $20 gift certificate to FastKart Speedway in SLC, Utah from Screamin' Coupons for only $10. You get a 20 lap race for this price.

Starwash Car Wash, South Jordan, Utah - FREE WASH

The word is traveling quickly about this one but there is a new carwash in South Jordan on 10400 S. and Bangerter Highway that recently opened. They are offering free carwashes to every customer until August 1st. You can go as often as you would like and run your car through their 3 minute wash. It normally costs $10.99. Also, their vacuums are free too and they have a lot of them. They can run 200 cars through their washes an hour so you shouldn't have to wait long. I drove right through when I went.

Winnie the Pooh and Deceptively Delicious $5

I love Kohls Cares for Kids. They highlight different products for only $5 and the money goes towards Kid's Health and Education. Right now they have these darling Winnie the Pooh books and Winnie the Pooh plush.

You can also get the cookbook Deceptively Delicious for only $5 although I don't see it on their website so it might be selling out fast.

NORDSTROM ANNIVERSARY SALE

The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale begins this Friday. They have some items online right now that will be on sale but not all. You can only get one of these but they will let you buy additional passes for $15.99 and I would assume the 10% would work off this too.

COWABUNGA BAY HALF OFF ALL DAY PASS!

Screamin Coupons has 50% off full day passes to Cowabunga Bay in Draper, Utah TODAY ONLY! They are only $11.75. This is a great deal for Cowabunga Bay. I would appreciate it if you would use this link as I will get a referral credit when you order. Thanks!

Also, if you sign up for their email updates you get a $5 credit. I add to email them to get my credit as it didn't show up but they gave it to me.

AVENT BOTTLES ON SALE

UPDATE:
I posted this post this morning and someone commented to let me know that these bottles are not as good of a deal as it seems as there are apparently 2 different packages you can get right now of Avent Bottles. The set for $10 is normally around $13 and the set tht is $18.99 is on sale for $16.14. From what I can tell the main difference between these 2 different packs is that the cheaper bottles have a ring at the top that is an extra piece to help with the gas/colic and the more expensive bottles have it built in. Also the cheaper bottles have the letters "PP" in the name because they are made of polypropelene and the more expensive bottles are made of Polyether Sulphone (PES). Both materials are BPA free.
-----------------------

This week at Target you can get a 2 pk. of Avent bottles (4 oz. or 9 oz.) for only $10. This is a great price considering Babies R' Us charges $18.99 for the same pack.

And be sure to get on their email list because they do giveaways all the time.

TOY STORY 1 & 2 DEALS TOMORROW

UPDATE: Many Targets are sold out of Toy Story 1 & 2 so I went to Walmart and they price matched for me. I had the Target ad with me and I had to go to customer service so they had to ask a manager how to ring it up but I got both movies together for $15.99!

Toy Story 1 & 2 come out on Blu-ray/DVD tomorrow. Did you know that if you already have a VHS or DVD of these movies you can go on Disney Movie rewards and print a $10 off coupon for each movie? Also, if you buy the movies together the stores are giving you $10 off instantly. So...at Toys R' Us where each movie is $21.99 you would only pay $13.98 for both movies! Or at Target the movie prices are $1 more so you would pay $15.98. And each movie comes with a coupon for a free movie ticket to see Toy Story 3 when it comes out in June.

*If you can't get the $10 off coupons, click here for a $5 off coupon off each movie.

PRINCESS AND THE FROG DEALS

Princess and the Frog comes out on DVD/Blu-ray on Tuesday, March 16th. The 2 best places to purchases it (that I found) are from Kmart or Target (because you get something in addition to the movie) for the same price as other stores. You can also get a $10 off coupon to use on the Deluxe Edition. Click here to print it. You need to download a coupons.com printer if you have not already.

At Target, if you buy the Blu-ray or the Deluxe Blu-ray edition (also includes the DVD) then you get a Free princess Tiana purse. The purse is packaged with the movie and quantities are limited. Use the $10 off coupon and get it for $16.99. If you buy 2 boxes of kid's bandaids you can send in for a $5 rebate. Click here for a $1.00 off 1 box coupon.

At Kmart, you save $10 instantly if you buy both the Blu-ray or DVD and the Princess Tiana Doll ($10.99). I am not sure if you can use the $10 off coupon in addition as the coupon is on the Deluxe edition and the ad says Blu-ray or DVD but you can try. This is a great deal if you don't care about Blu-ray and you want to just buy the DVD. I am not sure what the DVD price is at Kmart but it is $15.99 at Target so maybe you could even make Kmart price match if it is more. The Blu-ray is listed as $19.99 at Target.

I hope this all makes sense to someone!

500th POST!

I just had to share that this is my 500th post! It is crazy to think I have blogged that much. I appreciate everyone's patience with me. I know I have been very sporatic in my blogging in the past while. I hope you have learned something helpful along the way. I am not a career blogger by any means. It is just fun for me to have a place on this world wide web to pass on the little tidbits/tips that I feel are worth sharing.
