SHAMPOO RINSE CUP

I am quite pleased with my Shampoo Rinse Cup and the job it does to keep the water and soap out of my son's eyes. They are $4.99 and are sold where most baby and kids items are.

HEADBANDS

Etsy really is an amazing site where you can find anything under the sun that is handmade. I came across these darling felt headbands that were too cute to not share with you. They are made by twin sisters in a shop called Louandlee.

FORMAT CHANGE

I am going to be changing the format of my blog from now on. For the past several months I have posted everyday and it has been fun for me but lately (after 300 + posts) I feel like I don't have a ton of things to pass on each day.

I like to put things on my blog I think you would all like to hear but sometimes I am posting out of obligation. So...from now on I will just be posting whenever I have something I want to share. I know this will be a pain since you won't know when to check the blog, but hopefully you can subscribe to Google Reader so it will tell you when I have updated.

Don't be too discouraged..I will still be posting lots of fun things and information, but just not daily.

It looks like Walmart has the best deals on school supplies this week. $.88 for Crayola Classic 10 count thinline or broad markers. (Normally $2.84). $.22 for Elmers glue or 2 pack glue sticks. $.05 for 70 sheet notebook. $.22 for Crayola 24 pack crayons. $.88 Crayola 12 pack colored pencils.

CHILDREN'S PLACE MONSTER SALE

The Monster Sale at The Children's Place is now an extra 50% off clearance prices and you can use code FA78 for an additional 15% off. Be sure to shop in the "Outlet" for these items or shop in stores. I got shirts for $2.25-$3.25 and shorts for $3-$4.25 for my son for next summer. They have $5 shipping too.

CLASSIC CHILDREN'S ENTERTAINMENT

I came across this blog post that highlighted some Class Children's Movies and such that you might not have seen or know about. I am excited to try to track down and watch some of these.

DRAPER DAYS CONCERTS

Every year my dad coordinates the concerts in Draper, Utah for Draper Days. He does it out of his love for the town he lives in. Peter Noone of Herman's Hermits will be performing on Friday night with Korba and LeBouef singing the songs of the British Invasion for the opening act. Saturday will be Phil Dirt and the Dozers opening and the Stars of Beatlemania. Peter Noone is one of the most fun and entertaining concerts I have ever attended. You will be surprised how many songs you recognize. And who doesn't love Beatles music!

Friday night at Draper City Park: 7:00-10:30 p.m.

Saturday night at Draper City Park: 6:00-10:15 p.m. with fireworks after.

Draper Days has lots of fun things and activities for the family. If you have never been...you should come.

SCHOOL SUPPLY DEALS

The stores are getting their back to school supplies in right now. A few fun deals this week are Office Depot has the acrylic rulers above for $.01. Also, a package of eraser caps for $.01 and semicircular 6" protractors for $.01. Limit 5 per customer.

Walmart has 24 packs of Crayola crayons for $.22 and Elmers glue or glue sticks for $.22. 70 sheet spiral notebooks for $.05.

STROLLER HOOKS

When you have 2 seperate stroller handles you can hang shopping bags and such on them, but when you only have one you are out of luck. That is where these stroller hooks come in handy. I got mine at Babies R' Us.

SALES

There are a lot of summer sales going on right now as the stores get ready for Fall. The Children's Place has 30% off their already marked down items in their Monster Sale. The Baby Center Store is having a sale through Sunday of up to 60% off. Pottery Barn Kids has a bunch of things on sale. The list goes on and on.

MY SHAPE

Along the same lines as yesterday's post is another website called My Shape.com. You set up a free profile and select your body shape and then you go to "myShop" where you'll find clothing matched to your measurements, your body shape and your preferences.

This is different from Shop It to Me because it is not focused on the clothes that are on sale, but on the clothes that flatter your body type.

I think they would both be great to use.

SHOP IT TO ME.COM

Shop it to Me is an awesome website! You enter your size, brands you like, stores you like to shop and it emails you (as much as once a day, as little as once a week) with all the items you like once they are on sale. I am excited to try it out.

BOX TOPS 4 EDUCATION

Do you clip your Box Tops 4 Education off the products in your home? It is so easy and they are on so many products. Everytime you clip a "Box Top 4 Education" they are worth 10 cents and then your school can redeem them to get the 10 cents for their school up to $20,000 a year. It is free money and is worth your time to help out your school. You will be surprised if you start looking just how many products have the coupons. Click here to see what products Box Tops are on. You can also shop online through their marketplace and your school will get a percentage of your total (up to an additional $20,000 a year). Pottery Barn - 3%, Nordstrom - 2.5%, Gap & Old Navy - 2% just to name a few. You just have to set up a username and password and then click on Promotions and it will direct you to the websites.

TOOTH FAIRY AND PIRATE

Discovery Toys has the cutest Tooth Fairy and Tooth Pirate to hold your child's teeth. They are $9.99 each.

And while we are on this train of thought..I want to remind you about a website called The Tooth Fairy Shoppe that has these really cute stickers that go over the President's face on the dollar bills. They look just like the dollar and are so darling. They sticker peels right off too. Go check it out. The picture is copyrighted so I can't show it here.

CHEAP BPA FREE BOTTLES

If you want to try some cheaper BPA bottles that have been around awhile, I suggest 2 choices. The first are the Evenflo bottles. They are only $2.99 for 3 bottles. They have a smaller nipple, so it depends on what your baby prefers.

The other option is the Playtex ORIGINAL Nurser bottle. They are $3.49 a bottle and have the drop in liners. This bottle and the liners are BPA free, but the Premium Nurser from Playtex is not BPA free, just the liners are.


These are 2 good and affordable alternatives to the Born Free ($9 a bottle) and Green to Grow (start at $7.49). These bottles seem great if you don't mind spending a little more.

And don't forget that Dr. Browns now has Polypropolene bottles (BPA Free) in a 3 pack for $12.99. They are actually available now on Babies R' Us.com. As far as I can tell, they do not make them in a wide neck bottle yet.
